# Bar Talk vs Long Angle

The clearest difference is price: Long Angle at Free against Bar Talk's $0.99. Long Angle also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 37 months). Bar Talk's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and chart position (#136 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Long Angle is free to download; Bar Talk costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Long Angle holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Long Angle has 33 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Bar Talk's written reviews are positive against 60% of Long Angle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bar Talk ships an update every 37 months, Long Angle every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
