# BCycle vs MetroNow! On Demand

The clearest difference is rating: BCycle at 4.2 against MetroNow! On Demand's 2.9. BCycle also leads on ratings volume (5.5K vs 16) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). MetroNow! On Demand's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (29% vs 18%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BCycle holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BCycle has 5.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of BCycle's written reviews are positive against 29% of MetroNow! On Demand's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BCycle ships an update every 3 months, MetroNow! On Demand every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
