# Wegmans vs Slice

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Slice at 38% against Wegmans's 13%. Slice also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (736K vs 38K). Wegmans's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Slice holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slice has 736K ratings behind it against 38K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of Wegmans's written reviews are positive against 38% of Slice's.

Wegmans ships an update every 9 days, Slice fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
