# Asketch vs SpritePixels

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Asketch at 65% against SpritePixels's 0%. Asketch also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (224 vs 1). SpritePixels's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and price ($0.99 vs $1.99). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Asketch costs $1.99 and SpritePixels $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SpritePixels holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Asketch has 224 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Asketch's written reviews are positive against 0% of SpritePixels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Asketch ships an update every 2 months, SpritePixels every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
