# Tarot Lite vs Tarot Key

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tarot Key at every 3 weeks against Tarot Lite's every 22 months. Tarot Key also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Tarot Lite's advantage is ratings volume (208 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tarot Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tarot Key sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tarot Key holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tarot Lite has 208 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tarot Lite ships an update every 22 months, Tarot Key every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
