# Überdoodle vs Prism Toy

The clearest difference is rating: Prism Toy at 4.5 against Überdoodle's 3.8. Prism Toy also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (75 vs 11). Überdoodle's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 50%). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Überdoodle costs $1.99 and Prism Toy $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prism Toy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prism Toy has 75 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Überdoodle's written reviews are positive against 50% of Prism Toy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Überdoodle ships an update every 3 months, Prism Toy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
