# 随手记 vs Splitara

The clearest difference is ads: Splitara at none against 随手记's shown. Splitara also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (90% vs 81%). 随手记's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 33) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 随手记 sells 36 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Splitara sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for 随手记 against 4.7 for Splitara. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 随手记 has 4.2K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of 随手记's written reviews are positive against 90% of Splitara's.

随手记 ships an update fortnightly, Splitara every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
