# Folder Lock vs Keeply

Folder Lock and Keeply both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Keeply's written reviews are positive against 32% of Folder Lock's. Keeply also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Folder Lock's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 63). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Folder Lock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Keeply sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Folder Lock against 4.3 for Keeply. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Folder Lock has 1.8K ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Folder Lock's written reviews are positive against 70% of Keeply's.

Folder Lock ships an update every 2 months, Keeply fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
