# Janus Calculator vs Calc

The clearest difference is rating: Calc at 3.7 against Janus Calculator's 2.0. Calc also leads on update cadence (every 10 months vs every 45 months) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). Janus Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 50%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Calc holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Janus Calculator's written reviews are positive against 50% of Calc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Janus Calculator ships an update every 45 months, Calc every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
