# Quinterval vs Mode Circle

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mode Circle at none against Quinterval's 1. Mode Circle also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and device support (5 vs 3). Quinterval's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quinterval sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mode Circle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mode Circle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Quinterval's written reviews are positive against 75% of Mode Circle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quinterval ships an update every 8 months, Mode Circle every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
