# Popplet vs Lucidchart

The clearest difference is price: Lucidchart at Free against Popplet's $2.99. Lucidchart also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 31). Popplet's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Lucidchart is free to download; Popplet costs $2.99 up front. Lucidchart sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Popplet asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lucidchart holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lucidchart has 5.3K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Popplet's written reviews are positive against 21% of Lucidchart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Popplet ships an update every 5 months, Lucidchart every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
