# Mil vs Magnetometer

The clearest difference is price: Magnetometer at $1.99 against Mil's $14.99. Magnetometer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.8) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Mil's advantage is ratings volume (51 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Mil costs $14.99 and Magnetometer $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magnetometer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mil has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mil ships an update monthly, Magnetometer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
