# Mil vs Alert Position

The clearest difference is price: Alert Position at $1.99 against Mil's $14.99. Alert Position also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.8) and chart position (#198 vs unranked). Mil's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Mil costs $14.99 and Alert Position $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alert Position holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mil has 51 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Mil's written reviews are positive against 50% of Alert Position's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mil ships an update monthly, Alert Position every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
