# Procore vs SmartTagIt

The clearest difference is rating: Procore at 4.6 against SmartTagIt's 3.8. Procore also leads on ratings volume (46K vs 20) and chart position (#194 vs unranked). SmartTagIt's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 42%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Procore holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Procore has 46K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Procore's written reviews are positive against 75% of SmartTagIt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Procore ships an update weekly, SmartTagIt fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
