# SimSimi vs ZegoChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SimSimi at 44% against ZegoChat's 0%. SimSimi also leads on ratings volume (7.5K vs 107). ZegoChat's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 17). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimSimi sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. ZegoChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

ZegoChat holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimSimi has 7.5K ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of SimSimi's written reviews are positive against 0% of ZegoChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimSimi ships an update every 2 weeks, ZegoChat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
