# SimSimi vs ScoutPass

The clearest difference is rating: SimSimi at 4.0 against ScoutPass's 3.4. SimSimi also leads on ratings volume (7.5K vs 5). ScoutPass's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimSimi sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. ScoutPass asks for nothing beyond the download.

SimSimi holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimSimi has 7.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of SimSimi's written reviews are positive against 50% of ScoutPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimSimi ships an update every 2 weeks, ScoutPass weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
