# A Flash Flashlight vs NINU

The clearest difference is price: NINU at Free against A Flash Flashlight's $4.99. NINU also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 23 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). A Flash Flashlight's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (30 vs 6). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

NINU is free to download; A Flash Flashlight costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

A Flash Flashlight holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: A Flash Flashlight has 30 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of A Flash Flashlight's written reviews are positive against 100% of NINU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

A Flash Flashlight ships an update every 23 months, NINU every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
