# Roastmaster vs RoastNote

The clearest difference is rating: RoastNote at 5.0 against Roastmaster's 3.7. RoastNote also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). Roastmaster's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roastmaster sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and RoastNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RoastNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roastmaster has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Roastmaster's written reviews are positive against 100% of RoastNote's.

Roastmaster ships an update every 5 months, RoastNote every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
