# Mix 96.5 vs OXYGEN

Mix 96.5 and OXYGEN both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Mix 96.5's written reviews are positive against 35% of OXYGEN's. Mix 96.5 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). OXYGEN's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 5) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OXYGEN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OXYGEN has 17K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Mix 96.5's written reviews are positive against 35% of OXYGEN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mix 96.5 ships an update every 3 months, OXYGEN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
