# TED Talks vs MMK

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MMK at 98% against TED Talks's 44%. MMK also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). TED Talks's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MMK holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TED Talks has 10K ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of TED Talks's written reviews are positive against 98% of MMK's.

TED Talks ships an update every 2 weeks, MMK every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
