# Dropophone vs Drone Pad

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dropophone at 88% against Drone Pad's 36%. Dropophone also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 19) and iOS requirement (8.3 vs 18.0). Drone Pad's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and update cadence (monthly vs every 67 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Pad sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Dropophone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Pad has 177 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Dropophone's written reviews are positive against 36% of Drone Pad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dropophone ships an update every 67 months, Drone Pad monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
