# TIM Modem vs Telepass

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TIM Modem at 42% against Telepass's 3%. TIM Modem also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Telepass's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Telepass holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 66 and 117 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of TIM Modem's written reviews are positive against 3% of Telepass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TIM Modem ships an update every 2 months, Telepass every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
