# DER STANDARD vs ZEIT AUDIO

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ZEIT AUDIO at 87% against DER STANDARD's 35%. ZEIT AUDIO also leads on ads (none vs shown). DER STANDARD's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 27). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZEIT AUDIO sells 27 one-off in-app purchases. DER STANDARD asks for nothing beyond the download.

DER STANDARD holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DER STANDARD has 153 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of DER STANDARD's written reviews are positive against 87% of ZEIT AUDIO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
