# Talking Tom Cat vs Magic Slime Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: Magic Slime Simulator at 4.7 against Talking Tom Cat's 4.2. Magic Slime Simulator also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Talking Tom Cat's advantage is ratings volume (156K vs 15K) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talking Tom Cat sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Magic Slime Simulator sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Slime Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talking Tom Cat has 156K ratings behind it against 15K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Talking Tom Cat's written reviews are positive against 51% of Magic Slime Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Talking Tom Cat ships an update every 3 months, Magic Slime Simulator every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
