# De Tijd vs De Telegraaf

The clearest difference is rating: De Tijd at 4.5 against De Telegraaf's 4.0. De Tijd also leads on ads (none vs shown). De Telegraaf's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 15%) and ratings volume (153 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. De Tijd sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and De Telegraaf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

De Tijd holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: De Telegraaf has 153 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of De Tijd's written reviews are positive against 47% of De Telegraaf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

De Tijd ships an update every 2 weeks, De Telegraaf every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
