# Colored Pencil vs おでかけAR

The clearest difference is rating: おでかけAR at 5.0 against Colored Pencil's 4.3. Colored Pencil's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 50%) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Colored Pencil costs $1.99 and おでかけAR $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

おでかけAR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Colored Pencil has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Colored Pencil's written reviews are positive against 50% of おでかけAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Colored Pencil ships an update every 3 weeks, おでかけAR monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
