# L'Echo vs RTL

The clearest difference is rating: RTL at 4.6 against L'Echo's 1.0. RTL also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and review sentiment (45% vs 20%). L'Echo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. L'Echo sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. RTL asks for nothing beyond the download.

RTL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTL has 94 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of L'Echo's written reviews are positive against 45% of RTL's.

L'Echo ships an update every 2 weeks, RTL every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
