# SimpleMind Pro vs SideNotes Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: SimpleMind Pro at 4.7 against SideNotes Mobile's 4.2. SimpleMind Pro also leads on ratings volume (451 vs 28) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). SideNotes Mobile's advantage is chart position (#59 vs unranked) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

SimpleMind Pro costs $10.99 and SideNotes Mobile $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimpleMind Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpleMind Pro has 451 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of SimpleMind Pro's written reviews are positive against 88% of SideNotes Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimpleMind Pro ships an update every 2 months, SideNotes Mobile monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
