# TV5MONDE vs Versailles Spectacles

The clearest difference is rating: TV5MONDE at 4.6 against Versailles Spectacles's 2.4. TV5MONDE also leads on ratings volume (555 vs 5). Versailles Spectacles's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 25%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TV5MONDE holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV5MONDE has 555 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of TV5MONDE's written reviews are positive against 50% of Versailles Spectacles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TV5MONDE ships an update every 2 months, Versailles Spectacles every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
