# TouchTunes vs Discogs

The clearest difference is ratings volume: TouchTunes at 1.1M against Discogs's 67K. TouchTunes also leads on review sentiment (54% vs 40%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TouchTunes against 4.8 for Discogs. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchTunes has 1.1M ratings behind it against 67K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of TouchTunes's written reviews are positive against 40% of Discogs's.

TouchTunes ships an update every 2 weeks, Discogs monthly. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
