# Group RCS SMS and Email vs Simple Groups

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Simple Groups at 83% against Group RCS SMS and Email's 29%. Simple Groups also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). Group RCS SMS and Email's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 12) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Group RCS SMS and Email sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Groups asks for nothing beyond the download.

Group RCS SMS and Email holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Group RCS SMS and Email has 1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Group RCS SMS and Email's written reviews are positive against 83% of Simple Groups's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
