# Group RCS SMS and Email vs Web Browser SMS

The clearest difference is rating: Group RCS SMS and Email at 4.5 against Web Browser SMS's 3.3. Group RCS SMS and Email also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1K vs 13). Web Browser SMS's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 29%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Group RCS SMS and Email sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Web Browser SMS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 2 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Group RCS SMS and Email holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Group RCS SMS and Email has 1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Group RCS SMS and Email's written reviews are positive against 50% of Web Browser SMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Group RCS SMS and Email ships an update every 2 months, Web Browser SMS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
