# Easy Paint II vs Digital Planner for iPad

The clearest difference is rating: Digital Planner for iPad at 4.3 against Easy Paint II's 3.8. Digital Planner for iPad also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 months). Easy Paint II's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (75% vs 44%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Paint II sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Digital Planner for iPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Planner for iPad holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner for iPad has 2.1K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Easy Paint II's written reviews are positive against 44% of Digital Planner for iPad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Easy Paint II ships an update every 5 months, Digital Planner for iPad every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
