# MTG Guide vs Biblioplex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Biblioplex at every 4 days against MTG Guide's every 2 months. Biblioplex also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (freemium vs paid). MTG Guide's advantage is ratings volume (726 vs 2) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MTG Guide sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Biblioplex sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Biblioplex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTG Guide has 726 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MTG Guide ships an update every 2 months, Biblioplex every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
