# My Coloring Book vs Monkey Ropes

The clearest difference is rating: Monkey Ropes at 4.6 against My Coloring Book's 4.1. Monkey Ropes also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 477) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). My Coloring Book's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 48%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Coloring Book sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Monkey Ropes sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monkey Ropes holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monkey Ropes has 29K ratings behind it against 477, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of My Coloring Book's written reviews are positive against 48% of Monkey Ropes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Coloring Book ships an update every 2 months, Monkey Ropes every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
