# FlixFling Streaming vs BroadwayHD

The clearest difference is monetization model: FlixFling Streaming at free with in-app purchases against BroadwayHD's subscription. FlixFling Streaming also leads on review sentiment (35% vs 13%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). BroadwayHD's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 2.1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlixFling Streaming sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and BroadwayHD sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BroadwayHD holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of FlixFling Streaming's written reviews are positive against 13% of BroadwayHD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlixFling Streaming ships an update every 4 months, BroadwayHD every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on July 22, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
