# LingQ | Learn Languages vs Assimil

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LingQ | Learn Languages at 80% against Assimil's 32%. LingQ | Learn Languages also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 29) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Assimil's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingQ | Learn Languages sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Assimil sells 45 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LingQ | Learn Languages holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4.
