# LingQ | Learn Languages vs KeepReading

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: KeepReading at none against LingQ | Learn Languages's 13. KeepReading also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). LingQ | Learn Languages's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and ratings volume (10K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingQ | Learn Languages sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. KeepReading asks for nothing beyond the download.

KeepReading holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LingQ | Learn Languages has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of LingQ | Learn Languages's written reviews are positive against 50% of KeepReading's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
