# 105.3 HOT vs V 101.9

The clearest difference is rating: V 101.9 at 4.7 against 105.3 HOT's 3.0. V 101.9 also leads on ratings volume (922 vs 2). 105.3 HOT's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

V 101.9 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: V 101.9 has 922 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of 105.3 HOT's written reviews are positive against 33% of V 101.9's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

105.3 HOT ships an update every 7 months, V 101.9 every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
