# Dictionary. vs Word Vault

The clearest difference is ads: Word Vault at none against Dictionary.'s shown. Word Vault also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). Dictionary.'s advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dictionary. sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Word Vault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Vault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8.
