# WBUR vs Vermont Standard eEdition

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vermont Standard eEdition at 100% against WBUR's 41%. WBUR's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (4K vs 20). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WBUR holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WBUR has 4K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of WBUR's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vermont Standard eEdition's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WBUR ships an update every 6 weeks, Vermont Standard eEdition every 9 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
