# WBUR vs The KNB App

WBUR and The KNB App both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of The KNB App's written reviews are positive against 41% of WBUR's. The KNB App also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). WBUR's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The KNB App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WBUR has 4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of WBUR's written reviews are positive against 100% of The KNB App's.

WBUR ships an update every 6 weeks, The KNB App every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
