# Light vs Flashlight & Morse Utility

The clearest difference is rating: Flashlight & Morse Utility at 4.6 against Light's 3.3. Light's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (93% vs 79%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Flashlight & Morse Utility sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashlight & Morse Utility holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.4K and 3.8K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Light's written reviews are positive against 79% of Flashlight & Morse Utility's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Light ships an update every 5 months, Flashlight & Morse Utility every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
