# Light vs iLed Flashlight

The clearest difference is ads: Light at none against iLed Flashlight's shown. Light also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 71) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). iLed Flashlight's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and iLed Flashlight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.3 for Light against 3.2 for iLed Flashlight. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Light has 3.4K ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 93% and 94% positive.

Light ships an update every 5 months, iLed Flashlight every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
