# Busuu vs Digit

The clearest difference is ads: Digit at none against Busuu's shown. Digit also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). Busuu's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (101K vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Busuu sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Digit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Busuu holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Busuu has 101K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Busuu ships an update weekly, Digit every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
