# Egnyte vs RocketX Cloud

The clearest difference is monetization model: RocketX Cloud at free against Egnyte's freemium. RocketX Cloud also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Egnyte's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RocketX Cloud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Egnyte has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Egnyte ships an update fortnightly, RocketX Cloud monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and August 27, 2026 respectively.
