# Egnyte vs OnSite Tracking

The clearest difference is monetization model: OnSite Tracking at free against Egnyte's freemium. OnSite Tracking also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Egnyte's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OnSite Tracking holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Egnyte has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Egnyte ships an update fortnightly, OnSite Tracking every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
