# Egnyte vs My EYA

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Egnyte at 12K against My EYA's 1. My EYA's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

My EYA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Egnyte has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Egnyte ships an update fortnightly, My EYA every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
