# Flashlight × vs FlashMob

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flashlight × at 31K against FlashMob's 174. FlashMob's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 68%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashlight × sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FlashMob sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashlight × holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashlight × has 31K ratings behind it against 174, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Flashlight ×'s written reviews are positive against 81% of FlashMob's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flashlight × ships an update every 4 months, FlashMob every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
