# Flashlight vs Best Flash Light

The clearest difference is update cadence: Best Flash Light at every 2 months against Flashlight's every 7 months. Best Flash Light also leads on ratings volume (46K vs 4.7K). Flashlight's advantage is review sentiment (90% vs 80%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashlight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Best Flash Light sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Flashlight against 4.7 for Best Flash Light. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Best Flash Light has 46K ratings behind it against 4.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Flashlight's written reviews are positive against 80% of Best Flash Light's.

Flashlight ships an update every 7 months, Best Flash Light every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
